Shalyn Getz

Shalyn Getz, Program and Communications Specialist, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in Sociology from Middlebury College. Shalyn moved to Indianapolis from Joppa, MD in June 2011 to join the staff as an AmeriCorps VISTA, where she served two terms as a program specialist.  As the Program and Communications Specialist, Shalyn manages School on Wheels’ website, social media, and emails and develops curriculum for tutoring.  Shalyn is also the Program Coordinator for the IPS #54 STAR (Striving Towards Academic Readiness) lunchtime program for kindergarteners and first graders.  For questions regarding social media, tutoring curriculum or the STAR Program, email Shalyn.
