School on Wheels began with an individual striving to make a difference.

You too can make an impact on lives of homeless children with your time and talents.

TUTOR

Homework assistance + academic support

  • Must be at least 14 years old (11 with a parent)
  • Tutoring experience is not necessary
  • Attend a two-hour mandatory training session and pass a background check
  • Commit to at least one tutoring session, one hour per week

SPECIAL EVENTS

Assist with planning special events for School on Wheels

  • Interest and/or experience with special events
  • Available for planning meetings

OFFICE

Assist with sorting school supplies, school uniforms or help with other administrative projects

  • Available during the work day
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks (stuffing and labeling envelopes, etc.)
