By providing educational assistance, mentoring, school supplies and uniforms to homeless children, School on Wheels plays a significant role in breaking the cycle of homelessness.
Tutors in Action Program
Recruits and trains dedicated and consistent community volunteers.
Provides daily academic mentoring and tutoring to
homeless children.
Operates in every Indianapolis family homeless
shelter and one elementary school for a total
of 12 locations.
Distributes school uniforms to IPS homeless children.

At the beginning of the school year, he couldn't
recognize letters or completely say the alphabet.
Last week when I was helping him with homework,
he was able to recognize each capital letter!"
